Payroll Center Inc , originally Computech, Inc., was founded in 1982 by experienced business men Robert Griswold and John McDowell. With the advantages of using one of the first computer operated payroll platforms and the ability to print client accounts on blank check stock, Payroll Center was able to provide a more reliable service with lower prices than its competitors. Payroll Center grew to serve both small and large businesses throughout the south eastern United States. In 1996 Co-Founder Robert Griswold sold his share of the company and John McDowell took over as the majority stockholder and controller of the company. Continuing in the same tradition of offering reliable and affordable business services Payroll Center has continued to grow and now serves companies from 1 to 5000 employees across the entire United States.
